The Strawberry Thief

Dress -  Vintage Style Me
Belt - old Primark
Shoes - old Office
Bag - Vintage YSL

It's been a long time since I've felt able to take outfit photos. This winter I admitted defeat after a year of struggling to take photos; at times I convinced myself that I could manage only to feel rotten all the way through the shoot, getting grumpy and needing to go lay down after 10 minutes. The pain I experience from the cold was the last straw. It was time for a break until spring. I guess you could call me a fair weather blogger!

Last weekend there was finally warmth in the sun so I decided to test the waters. I thought I would start small, in my back garden. I apologise for the fence. I'm not a big fan of back garden blog photos, although I have seen worse - old paint pots, dead plants and plastic garden furniture. I'm such a perfectionist I didn't stop at photoshopping out my mums comical digging dog statue, oh no, I made my hedge look greener and fuller, I'm not sure how normal that is.

Anyway moving away from my digital gardening to my outfit and more specifically this dress which was hand made in the UK by the small team that make up Vintage Style Me. It's one of my favourite day dresses, I love the relaxed smock fit which is great for extra cake days or when my body feels extra sensitive and wants more space. I ended up with the same dress in two prints because I can't get enough William Morris in my life! This print is called The Strawberry Thief and its been one of my favourite William Morris prints for years, it makes me so happy being able to wear such an iconic print. I have my eye on another Morris print, this Brer Rabbit smock here being high on my Vintage Style Me want list!

I'm hoping this will be the start of more outfit photos, even if they have to be from my digitally enhanced garden!
