Oh my darling, I will show you a blue Moon

This is the outfit I wore last Friday to see one of my favourite artists Passenger at shepherds bush empire. I was so excited, not only because I've listened to not much else for the last year, but because I hardly ever get to see live music any more. Going to gigs is something I did almost weekly before I got ill but it isn't something I can do very much any more without suffering badly with ME symptoms for days or weeks after. But as my occupational therapist says "sometimes you've got to do what makes your heart sing" and that lovely readers is exactly what this gig did to my heart.
Anyway enough soppiness - I want to share my outfit - I bought this dress recently from my local charity shop and this was the first time I got to wear it. I love the black and white polkadots and the way the fabric swishes around. I still can't get over how many compliments I received on it.

For those of you who don't know - this little yet chubby tiger striped cat pulling an odd face is my beautiful cat Pixie.

Dress: Charity shop £6.50
Leather Jacket : H&M £35
Shoes: borrowed from my mum

My brother drove us the 16 miles to shepherds bush and armed with my noise cancelling earplugs we entered and found some great seats. Passenger was as amazing as ever and played some of my favourite songs. Afterwards we went a bit silly and bought a boxset of albums (I already have them, only digitally) and two cds by the support act Stu Larsen who's music I also really like. It was over far too soon and since then I've been pretty ill and unable to leave the house but I don't regret it.
