Eastern Delights

Kimono: Paul & Joe
Jeans: Miso
White top: New Look
Shoes: Aldo
Bracelet: Vivienne Westwood

I've been fascinated by the east for as long as I can remember especially by the colours and patterns in the art and fabrics. Places like India, Bali and Japan are on my bucket list. Japan being at the top as one of my best friends from school came from there and is now living in Tokyo. I long to see temples, mountains, go on the bullet train, see real geisha girls and Harajuku girls and of course my dear friend. I've also got a sushi and a hello kitty addiction that needs feeding. Until the day that I step off a plane on to Japanese soil, I will have to continue my love affair at home with yo sushi and my new Paul & Joe Kimono. This is the first kimono that I have owned, and now I'm wondering why it's taken me so long. It's so easy to wear, so light and compfy. I love the rich matalic green trim which works so well with the fabric. I initially brought it to wear with pjs but its too nice not to wear it out!
As you might have noticed I got a hair cut. I'm not sure if I like it yet, sadly I had no choice in having 3.5 inches taken off, it feels so short! I also got a fringe which I've not had for a year now and I had a semi perminant colour applied and ohh myy is it dark! I miss my old natural colour.

Anyway I hope everyone enjoys the bank holiday.  I'm hopeing to catch up with some friends and hopefully enjoy some rays.

Love Emma Xx

Thistles and Lace

Dress: Yumi
Flip flops: Primark
Ring: Accesorize
Bracelet: The Shere Shop

I've been pretty ill or as I call it -pooky. The ME is always up and down but recently it's been pretty bad. I did too much and now I'm paying. I've not been out much because of this, in fact this was the first day in five days that I ventured out. As I was feeling a little better my mum suggested we went to Poseden Lacy and walk down to this quiet field just outside the national trust borders. I spent many afternoons of my childhood in this feild so it was lovely to revisit it. We got some Calippos, my favourite ice lolly before strolling down to the field through the national trust garden.
The field was very green still and there were lots of thistles growing between the grass. Butterflies fluttered by and the only sound came from bees collecting pollen. A beautiful old tree had lots of little hearts hanging in it with messages on, which sadly I'm guessing are to someone who is no longer with us.

We took some photos of my outfit before resting on the blanket. I apologise that I didn't put much effort in to the outfit I just didn't have the energy. Anyway the dress is one of my favourite summer dresses, I love the lace detail and it keeps me cool. Flip flops are my summer shoe of choice and this pair are one of my favourite, although they're looking a bit sad these days. I really should have bought a few more pairs!
I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather!
